Seeking employment
You may find an assessment from the Danish Agency for Universities and Internationalisation helpful when looking for a job. However, if your profession is regulated you may need authorisation from the competent body.
The assessment offered by the Danish Agency for Universities and Internationalisation is a brief statement saying what your foreign qualification corresponds to in Denmark: Which educational level and, if possible, which field of education.
What can the assessment be used for?
When you apply for a job, our assessment can make your qualifications easier to understand for the Danish employer.
An assessment does not guarantee that you will obtain employment: It is up to the individual employers to decide whether they can use the educational qualifications and the occupational experience you have achieved outside Denmark.
However, if the employer is a Danish public authority, that authority is required to base its decision on our assessment as far as the level of your foreign qualifications is concerned.

How to obtain an assessment:
1. Fill in one of these application forms and sign it:

Open as a PDF file: Print it out, fill it in and sign it.

Open as a text (RTF) file: Print it out, fill it in and sign it.

Open as a web form: Fill it in on-screen, then print it out and sign it.
2. Enclose the required documentation.
3. Send the application by post to the Danish Agency for Universities and Internationalisation.
The assessment is free of charge, but it does not include translation of documents.
From application to assessment

We examine the documentation. You may be asked to provide further documentation.

We make an assessment of your qualification. This normally takes 1-2 months from the time you send the application and the required documentation.

You receive an assessment report. If you want careers and educational guidance, you can take the assessment with you to the nearest guidance centre (Studievalg) or job centre.
