Research
Most research in Denmark is done by universities.
The funds for university research basically comes from three sources:
- Basic funds
- Strategic and free research councils
- EU and other research funds
Basic funds
You'll find more information about basic funds on the pages Economics of university sector.
Strategic and free research councils
A main source of funds for university research is the Danish strategic and free research councils under the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
EU and other research funds
In addition to funds from DUPA the universities can fund research through a number of other sources. These include - but are not limited to - the EU and other international research funds.
