International cooperation
Danish universities are working to expand international educational cooperation while the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education aims at ensuring an optimum framework for this internationalisation.
The legislative reforms and continuing internationalisation of the Danish system of higher education are aimed at strengthening competitiveness and strong social cohesion so that Denmark continues to be both an inclusive and affluent society.
Internationalisation of the Danish university sector is essential to ensure that
- Danish universities rank among the best in the world,
- economic growth and competitiveness is ensured for both Danish society and the individual university, and for
- making sure that Danish students and graduates are equipped to take part in civil society and the labour market and to be successful in a globalised world.
